What got you interested in working as a physical therapist?

I knew I always wanted a career in helping people and didn’t realize how much I’d love working with children until I saw firsthand during one of my clinical rotations in PT school how rewarding it was! I get to laugh, play and have fun during my job, while also building relationships with families and watching the kids grow.

What do you love most about working as a physical therapist?

I love seeing my kids make progress, no matter how much time it takes to reach their goals. When that day occurs and they’ve met a goal we’ve been working on for 6 months or over a year, I feel an immense amount of pride that they’ve finally accomplished a challenging task!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, hiking, golfing, paddle boarding, reading a good book and trying new restaurants.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’m from New Hampshire!

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

I try to encourage just getting outside and going to the park/playground. Going to a playground can build so many skills we work on at home, such as coordination, balance, strength, visual and spatial awareness and socialization with the other kids.
