What got you interested in working as an occupational therapist?
I always knew I wanted to work with kids and families. I learned about OT during my undergraduate years and it checked all the boxes of what I envisioned my career to be- holistic and meaningful! I enjoy how fun and creative you can be in this profession!
What do you love most about working as an occupational therapist?
I love creating meaningful connections, witnessing all the growth/progress, and empowering others!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I absolutely love to bake and cook outside of work. Additionally, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or snowboarding with my friends, family, and/or amazing partner!
What is something most people don’t know about you?
My middle name is Ngoc which translates to Jade in Vietnamese.
What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?
Involve your kids when preparing meals! There are so many skills you can address when you let them help you do simple cooking tasks such as pouring or stirring. And don’t be afraid to get a little messy!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
Although I don’t own a dog to myself (yet), I am obsessed with corgis!! My last name is pronounced “win”. For my doctoral capstone, I conducted a scoping review to identify strategies for creating a culturally responsive environment during the fieldwork experience. I am more than welcome to share my work if anyone is interested! Overall, I am super excited to join this amazing team and learn from others!
