MOT OTR/L

What got you interested in working as an occupational therapist?

When I was growing up, I would watch my grandmother go through her OT sessions and I thought it was amazing. However, it took me until high school when I saw OT being done with kids that I knew it was the perfect career for me as I have always known I want to work with kids.

What do you love most about working as an occupational therapist?

My favorite thing about being an OT is problem solving ways for people to engage with the environment while always finding ways to make it fun.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love doing outdoor activities like hiking and backpacking, going to see music, and hanging with friends!

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’m scuba certified.

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

Multisensory play and movement based activities like obstacle courses and scavenger hunts.
