What got you interested in working as an occupational therapist?

I fell in love with OT when I was 13 years old.

What do you love most about working with FRPT?

I love the long-term connections that we build with families in the home care setting.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love reading most of all.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I have had rabbits as pets my whole life.

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

I love recommending obstacle courses and cooking activities for kids.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

My primary specialty is play-based therapy, with training and mentorship in DIR/Floortime. Play-based learning allows children to learn how to handle challenges and learn developmentally-appropriate skills within a natural environment. My specialty training includes neuro-developmental training, fine motor development, visual-motor development and ocular-motor skills, low-vision training, Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) and multi-sensory learning styles, The Listening Program (TLP), Integrated Listening System (iLs), SOS Approach to Feeding (play-based feeding therapy), Interactive Metronome (IM), self-care/ADL training, pre-vocational training, wheelchair seating & positioning, and community travel training/community mobility.
