What got you interested in working as a physical therapist?

I have been working in a pediatric outpatient clinic for the past 6 years. I felt like I was ready for a change to home health to be able to treat kids in an environment that’s familiar to them and give myself more flexibility in my schedule. FRPT stood out to me as a home health company for the strong focus on therapist satisfaction and work-life balance. I’m excited to work for a company that prioritizes this as I know I will be able to provide better care to all the kiddos I work with!

What do you love most about working as a physical therapist?

Over the years of being a PT, my favorite thing has been the relationships I’ve built with the kids and their families. I had several kiddos I worked with for years and I was able to see them grow both in their gross motor skills and also see their personalities develop, watch them discover new interests, and become a more confident child. I look forward to creating these relationships with the families I work with at FRPT!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love anything in the mountains- hiking, skiing, trail running. I also enjoy reading, travelling, and working out.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I have hiked 47/58 of the Colorado 14ers and am working towards completing all of them!

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

I love any kind of obstacle course! It’s a great way to target several skills using common household items and the kids can come up with their own ideas to add to the course.
