What got you interested in working as a speech therapist?

As a former first-grade teacher, I had the opportunity to work closely with our school’s speech language pathologist and saw firsthand the incredible impact she had on my students. Her work inspired me to pursue a new career path in speech language pathology. I was especially drawn to FRPT because I believe meaningful change happens when families are actively involved and truly feel valued. I see home health as one of the most effective ways to support that connection and promote lasting progress.

What do you love most about being a speech therapist?

One of my favorite and most touching moments as a student clinician was when a client looked at me and said, “Speech therapy is my favorite part of the week.” Knowing that our time together brought them that much joy reminded me why I chose this profession in the first place.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love the outdoors. I love hiking, camping, paddleboarding and walking my 7 month old puppy named Comet! I also love spending time with family and friends!

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I like to paint!

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

I love providing parents with language building strategies that they can work into their everyday routine!
