What got you interested in working as a speech therapist?

I wanted to give others a voice. I love building relationships with people, and therapy is a great job to make a difference in others’ lives in a one-on-one or small group setting.

What do you love most about being a speech therapist?

It was really memorable when a patient was mostly nonverbal, but one of the few words he said was “Becca.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Running, hiking, travel, spending time with loved ones, and good food/drinks.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I lived in Russia for a year, teaching English.I ran across the grand canyon twice in a day (R2R2R).

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

Incorporating literature!
