Molly H

MS CCC-SLP

What got you interested in working as a speech therapist?

I have always loved working with kids and getting to see how they view the world. In elementary school, one of my best friends was hard of hearing. I had the opportunity to see different ways she was supported to communicate with me and form friendships with others. I learned that being an SLP would allow me to help kids express themselves and communicate in ways that would dignify them and their families.

What do you love most about being a speech therapist?

I love that each child is unique in their own way, and that being an SLP allows me to continuously learn about new ways to support kids and their families.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, running, spending time with family and friends & my dog Winston!

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I sell flowers at the farmer’s market!

What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?

Play! Anything around the house can be turned into something creative. Follow your child’s lead and create something fun out of boxes, pillows and blankets, plastic containers and lids, etc. Use your imagination!
