What got you interested in working as a speech therapist?
I observed a friend’s Mom in HS who was an SLP and it got me interested. I knew my choice was solidified after seeing my Grandma receive ST through an ALS diagnosis.
What do you love most about being a speech therapist?
My favorite thing is seeing the pride clients and their families have on their faces when they finally accomplish something they’ve been working hard on.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with my kids and husband and going on family walks and exploring new places. I like to go for a run when I have solo time. We recently moved to CO from Philadelphia so we you’ll also find me cheering on those sports teams too!
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I enjoy photography!
What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?
Pushing into the play a child is already doing! We don’t need to change their interests, just help guide the communication during it with small changes!
