What got you interested in working as a speech therapist?
I’ve always known I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. So when I stumbled upon an intro to speech pathology course in college, within a month I knew this was what I wanted to do and proceeded to change my major. I haven’t looked back since!
What do you love most about being a speech therapist?
My favorite thing about being a speech therapist is seeing the progress the children I work with make and being able to celebrate those big and small achievements with their family.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Live music, snowboarding, camping and yoga!
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I lived in Sweden for a few years as a child.
What is your favorite activity to encourage learning and growth with kids?
My go-to suggestion for working on language, articulation or literacy skills is reading books! There’s so many fun and interesting books out there to help expand language skills.
